Whenever a writer or illustrator or, for that matter, anyone who had a great story to tell visited Gainesville, we would try to interview them about their children’s books that had influenced them. The results, as you’ll see were fairly amazing: Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, biblical scholar Elaine Pagels, novelist M. T. Anderson, and UF alumna, Kate di Camillo.
We’re listening to a little of the closing day concert for a week-long workshop that Mr. Johnnie Billington, a Master Folk Artist from the Mississippi Delta, has been holding here at the University of Florida to teach middle-school students how to play the blues.
