Joking Around Transcript

It’s National Humor Month, and Koren Stembridge has been joking around the Internet, looking for funny sites for kids.

We’ve suffered through Winter’s blustery tantrums, we’ve survived the sleepy evenings that arrive at 4:00 in the afternoon, limiting our energy and seducing us into thinking that the best answer to a cold, gray day is a bowl of mashed potatoes with half a stick of butter.

But now it’s Spring! Time to cast off the noirs, charcoals, and peweters of winter time to think navy, red, khaki and white- crisp, fresh, and new. Go ahead, loosen up your scarf or tie, reach into the recesses of your cedar closet and dig out your sense of humor. It’s somewhere on the back shelf, next to the holiday decorations and Millennium party hats.

April is National Humor Month and none too soon, if you ask me! Grab your chuckle or your giggle, and let the young joke tellers of the Internet help you remember what it’s like to laugh and be silly. On the Web you’ll find joke sites on every conceivable topic–from blondes, to lawyers, to light-bulb-changers.

Today, we’re bringing you jokes from some of the many sites devoted to kid humor. If you like these, stop by the Recess website and we’ll link you to more. Take it away, kids!
