Shelley Jackson is a well-known author of hypertext and other new-wave digital fiction for adults, but Recess’s Laurie Taylor spoke with her recently about her work as a children’s book author — of two intriguing picture books that have already appeared — The Old Woman and the Wave and Sophia the Alchemist’s Dog — and of a new picture book that is just being completed, MiMi, the Dada Cat.
